HYL What’s the big deal or explaining in detail our body parts especially the reproduction organs? I thought this is part of sex-education. FYI, when i was still in my early teens, i bought my own book on sex-education (in the 80s era) and my old folks who are very old fashioned and uneducated said nothing about it. And frankly, it did not make me into a “loose” person, rather it makes me more protective about my own body. And then I passed the book to my nieces and nephews and none of them turned out to be immoral.

docs Well there’s my take on how this sex education book got through the Home Ministry’s watchful eyes. i) Importers paid the Home Ministry censors some “duit Kopi” and walla, book cleared. ii) Home Ministry censors may not have understood written English and passed the book off. After all, the level of English among Gov’t servicemen and women can be considered poor.

dood Hey guess what, Umno Youth, textbooks used by secondary school students (who are minors) also show illustrations of the naked male and female form, complete with genitalia. Perhaps you should start a campaign to demand for the withdrawal of those books, which are used in physical education, biology and science. wira Children under 12 look at nude bodies innocently. They don’t know what is pornographic unless adults tell them those pictures are. How can one teaches sex education to the young if one doesn’t even show them the sexual differences between a male and a female?

Thinking For goodness sake. How are you going to explain sex and the reproductive process if you don’t show and describe the parts and process factually. I mean, if it is shown in sketches and diagrams, whats the problem? The avarage 12 years old would see more explicit things over the internet. Why not take this opportunity to engage and guide the youths instead of letting them learn and satisfy their curiousity outside? Which is more loving and responsible as a parent and educator? I rather teach my children the proper facts than all the perverted things over the internet. I repeat. Sex is designed by God and it is a good thing, meant for marriage. Its just the abuse and perversion of it that we should be concerned about.
