The BN government should not have arrested and charged PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu because he has in fact done them a favour.

People comments:
Disbeliever Quote: Tun Mahathir said “He would even go as far as paying PAS members to act like Mohamad by going around and “talking nonsense”. Doesn’t this prove that like many in UMNO, he is also corrupted?

Najib, this guy is blaming you should UMNO is less popular because of the arrest of Mat Sabu. He implied that you and your cronies are the ones orchestrating it. Whack him nice and nice before he draws the first blood on you.

Dr M is right but for the wrong reasons. The BN government is bankrupt of ideas to compete with Pakatan and is seizing on any fault that it can find with Pakatan. History is not a science let alone an exact science. In fact, our government has itself even rewritten history as taught in the schools. What is so illegal about having a contrary view on history. How can I be charge for criminal defamation if I suggest that Dr Mahathir is Malaysia’s Father of Development and not Tun Razak ?

Keturunan Malaysia Haha Dr.M, you said, “Gov’t should let Mat Sabu run his mouth off”. That is EXACTLY what we did to you to secure the damages you inflicted on your ownself that we seek. As for allowing Mat Sabu to do same, that can be pretty damaging too… but alas, not to Mat Sabu but to UMNO/BN. Saying what you said now is like you are stressing that Najib is a LIABILITY twice over right? You got a hidden card up your sleeve eh?

Ramachandran Muniandy Mat Sabu should call Tun Mahathir as his defence witness. Tun Mahathir hated the British from his school days time. He infact felt that the Japanese occupation was an’eye opener’ for independence fight against the British! After May 13th i1969, at one time the Special Branch was waiting for him in KL railway station to arrest him under ISA. His friend Tengku Abdullah from the Negeri Royalty, took him to Rawang and send him off to Alor Star. He has some loyalty toward PAS as at one he stood under PAS ticket for parliament, but he lost! Again when Mat Sabu was supporting the ‘real freedom fighters’, not the British policemen of Bukit Kepong, Tun Mahathir was infect calling to review Malaysian History.

wira This guy has no dignity or shame. He is not talking about doing the correct thing according to the spirit of the law but doing the right thing that benefits UMNO. It’s no wonder he thoroughly sodomised the judiciary during his 22 years as PM.

Clean&Clear TDM , i was once a voter who fear PAS as fanatic Islamic Party. But now my eyes opened wide by PAS in making my country true history. All the way long i was duped , conned and propagate with false and malicious information from my father down to my children. I wish PR took over the government and punish you while you live. You and the whole bunch of your cohort cannot con my fellow citizen anymore … the world in our fingertip, remember that.

Anonymous Whoever wins in the law court should be of no significance to the rakyat. What the AG has done, should have been done so by the institutions of learning. Let the case be a study of history lessons in the court. The lawyers will be the lecturers. It will certainly make the studying of history more interesting. After the case, students can write their thesis for their doctorate. How about I?

May 11

It is indeed sad that our leaders, instead of trying to win the minds and hearts of the people, have resorted to such a destructive move.

Ichigo: The greatest crime a democratic country can commit is to create chaos and unrest against its own citizens. The rally is just a cover or excuse to incite hatred among the Malay community while cowing the other communities into toeing the line.

It is indeed sad that our leaders, instead of trying to win the minds and hearts of the people, have resorted to such a destructive move. The fact that Dr Mahathir Mohamad – who was once my favourite leader – is involved, further saddens me.

How I wish Dr M acts as a father figure to all Malaysians, regardless of races.

Baiyuensheng: I am beginning to feel sorry for these people. The ghosts of May 13 will never get to rest unless the government acknowledges the crime committed.

Dood: Naturally, such a rally will be approved, and even sanctioned, by Umno/BN/Perkasa and, of course, the police. The usual excuses (which only seem to work when used by their pals) are that the people need to speak and show their support or have some avenue of expressing their concern over the opposition’s lies/manipulation/disrespect/insult to race/insult to religion/insult to the royal institution or what have you.

Never mind that the date is chosen deliberately to be provocative or that the events that will surely go on that night will be highly incendiary, racist and bigoted in nature.

If any non-Umno/BN/Perkasa group were to hold something similar or on that date, you can bet that threats of ISA will be invoked and the cops will all be on standby with their roadblocks and water cannons.

And this Mahathir – even in his retirement years, he is not contented with all the foundations he has set up to create the racist society that is Malaysia today. He still wants to meddle and whip up racist sentiments. He, along with all the other Umno/BN/Perkasa folk, will certainly be reviled by future, enlightened generations of Malaysians.

Mikey: Bring it on, Dr Mahathir. Your slide from ex-premier and statesman to gangster head is complete. We have all learned and move on from May 13. Unfortunately, you and your goons still wallow in it.

An opposition leader wants PM Najib to walk his talk with regard to combating corruption. He calls for a royal inquiry into the allegation that the former premier ‘burned’ RM100 billion during his reign.

Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the former premier, who ruled the nation for more than two decades before his retirement in 2003, was heralded as the ‘Father of Modernisation’. Now he has been conferred with a new title by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz.

According to him, the 84-year-old medical doctor turned politician is the ‘father of all racism’.

Datuk Seri Nazri today continued with his verbal tirade against the former Umno president over the controversy surrounding the National Civics Bureau (BTN) programme. While the minister wanted a revamp of the curriculum, Tun Dr Mahathir defended it, leading Datuk Seri Nazri to accuse him of doublespeak and racism.

Yesterday, Tun Dr Mahathir retaliated by challenging Datuk Seri Nazri to resign from Umno, which the former president described as a racist organisation.

Dissatisfied, Datuk Seri Nazri fired a fresh round of attacks in the Parliament lobby this afternoon.”He says I’m in a racist party so he confirms what I said about him. If he says I’m in a racist party, then he’s the father of all racism… he was president of Umno for 22 years. “As ex-prime minister, he should give better suggestions. I feel sorry for him but I will continue (hitting out). Please do not think (I’m) being disrespectful but if he’s free to comment about us, then he must accept the fact that he is open to criticism also,” Datuk Seri Nazri had quoted. ‘I learnt the craft from him’.

Reiterating that he meant no disrespect, Datuk Seri Nazri said Tun Dr Mahathir’s supporters must understand that it is about democracy and free speech.

On a sarcastic note, the minister pointed out that he is merely employing the skills he had learnt from the former premier.”In 1969, when he criticised Tunku Abdul Rahman, (was) that not disrespectful? He taught me (the art). If he does it, it is ok, but if we do it then it is disrespectful? He is my teacher,” Datuk Seri Nazri claimed. Datuk Seri Nazri said he will also not give Tun Dr Mahathir the “pleasure” of seeing him resign from Umno. “I’m not stupid to fall into his trap,” the minister said, adding that he was puzzled as to why Tun Dr Mahathir disliked him when it was the latter who appointed him.

“I didn’t force him, I didn’t put a gun to his head. He knows I’m a good minister and I have been a minister for three terms. Each time a new prime minister takes over, there are rumours that I will be dropped. I have been a minister for 10 years. I only serve the rakyat,” Datuk Seri Nazri claimed.
